Tustin Estate, London
25.96kWp
Axter BioSolar System
Overview
PV Plus delivered a 25.96 kWp BioSolar installation in South London across 14 separate roof areas at Tustin Estate. Appointed by All Metal Roofing, we supplied and installed 59 Trina Solar 440 W panels and 14 Growatt single-phase inverters above green roofs installed by Sky Garden. The completed system is expected to generate approximately 23.57 MWh of renewable electricity each year.

The Challenge
Tustin Estate consists of one large residential block divided into 14 separate roof areas at different heights and positions across the development.
Each roof required its own installation programme and ServiceM8 job, making coordination more complex than a conventional single-roof solar array. Panel groups needed to be carefully positioned around rooflights, parapets, access routes and other rooftop features.
The solar works also needed to be carefully coordinated with All Metal Roofing’s specialist Axter BioSolar mounts and the installation of the surrounding green roof system.
Our Solution
PV Plus supplied and installed:
- 59 × Trina Solar 440 W panels, providing a combined capacity of 25.96 kWp
- 14 × Growatt single-phase inverters
- Solar panels installed across 14 separate roof areas
- DC cabling and electrical connections
- Coordination with the roofing and green roof contractors
- DC testing and completion reporting
- Final system testing and commissioning
All Metal Roofing supplied and installed the specialist Axter BioSolar mounts as part of the wider roofing works. PV Plus then fitted the solar panels, installed the inverters and completed the associated electrical works.
The project was managed through 14 individual ServiceM8 jobs, allowing each roof area to be programmed, tracked and completed separately as it became available.
The Result of the BioSolar Installation in South London
The completed system provides Tustin Estate with 25.96 kWp of solar capacity distributed across 14 roof areas.
Based on local solar generation assumptions, the installation is expected to produce approximately 23.57 MWh of renewable electricity annually and save an estimated 5.49 tonnes of CO₂ each year.
The finished roof demonstrates how solar panels and green roof infrastructure can be coordinated across a complex multi-level building without relying on one large, uninterrupted roof area.
Why PV Plus
Tustin Estate required detailed programming and close cooperation between the solar, roofing and green roof teams.
PV Plus’s BioSolar experience allowed us to coordinate effectively with All Metal Roofing and the wider project team while maintaining consistent installation standards across all 14 roofs. Dividing the development into separately managed phases also helped keep the project organised from installation through to final testing.
