Bauder Flat System
Overview
PV Plus delivered the electrical installation and commissioning for a ~490 kWp PV system at the New Milton Data Centre, wiring and fitting 1,195 modules on a Bauder flat roof (Revision 4). The project supports the client’s energy resilience goals while reducing operational carbon for a 24/7 load profile.

The Challenge
Data centres demand absolute reliability, tight coordination, and clean cable management. The roof build-up required compatibility with Bauder details and strict pathways for containment to avoid clashes with plant, roof outlets, and fall protection.
Our Solution
Working to Ithaca’s supply package, PV Plus completed the installation and terminations for:
-
1,195 x SolarWatt 410 W panels (total 489.95 kWp)
-
Bauder-compatible mounting system (Ithaca supplied)
-
4 x Solis PRO 100 kW three-phase inverters (each rated at 167.1 A 3-phase as specified)
-
DC strings, DC isolators, AC switchgear, containment, testing, and commissioning
The Result
The system is expected to generate ~465 MWh/year, cutting approximately ~108 tonnes of CO₂ annually. The array provides steady daytime offset for the facility’s continuous electrical demand, reducing grid import and long-term operating costs.
