Bauder Bio Green Mount System
Overview
PV Plus delivered a 40kWp solar PV system across two new build blocks, integrating with Bauder’s BioSolar roofing solution supplied and installed by Georgian Roofing. The installation provides sustainable on-site generation while maintaining compatibility with the green roof design.

The Challenge
The project required a system that could be split across two buildings — the Welcome Block and the Teaching (Linear) Block — with different orientations. It also had to integrate seamlessly with the Bauder BioSolar roof system, ensuring both roof performance and solar efficiency were achieved. Coordination with the roofing contractor was key, as Bauder anchor boards and Vs needed to be fitted before solar installation.
Our Solution
PV Plus supplied and installed 109 SolarWatt 430W panels, configured as follows:
-
Welcome Block: 20kW, 44 panels, south-facing, 2 strings of 22.
-
Teaching/Linear Block: 25kW, 65 panels, split east/west for maximum yield (34 panels west-facing in 2x 17 strings, and 31 panels east-facing in 1×15 and 1×16 strings).
Bauder BioSolar mounting was supplied by Georgian Roofing, who installed the anchor boards and Vs. PV Plus then completed the installation of the panels, inverters, and electrical works, including DNO registration.
The Result
The completed system totals 40kWp, providing significant renewable energy generation on-site while maintaining the integrity of the Bauder green roof system. The east/west orientation on the Teaching Block allows for steady generation throughout the day, while the south-facing Welcome Block maximises direct sunlight capture.
